Initially I was thinking of the compact version too but the manager himself recommended the standard version Trueshot. I've not had any feedback on the compact version yet. The regular version is kinda huge but still kicks like a mule when fired so the compact version might be like a Quail tryna escape from your hand.

As mentioned in my earlier posts it worked flawlessly or smooth with original Chinese 311, Zol FMJ and S&B by Zol.

First rule of testing/quality-control/research: Test product against known standard. I see no point in judging any pistol with local ammo which is known to be substandard. TsAr has rightly suggested that POF ammo is the minimum. All local pistols (even DSA) are not properly sighted for aim at factory. Take a box of POF 1Z and your new Trushot to DSA and get it sighted-in for aim. Make an appointment before you go and tell them that you will be bringing your own ammo !

My basic intention of the initial post was to shed some light n give some feedback on some of the commonly available local ammo floating around in the market and their compatibility with currently available handguns as despite the quality of their standard wether sub, high or low unfortunately their sales graph has inclined way up now due to the extortionate prices of foreign ammo. People who are literate enough on ammo subjects know that a lot of these local brands are just junk but most common public don't and they buy it like hot cakes, When I went to pick up Kynoch from their factory in Darra I had to wait for hours as they were completely sold out and I was told to wait for the fresh batch. Anyway now coming to the point of aiming, I wasn't aware this could be done, thanks for your suggestion I'll deffinitely do that as I have to return a faulty Trueshot magazine with spring issues anyway so will phone them n ask em if this could be arranged too in sha Allah.

due to very high prices, even junk ammo with iron projectiles is being sold. It is a death sentence for the gn since the powder is extremely corrosive while the iron projectiles can destroy the grooves of the barrel.

    Hope everyone's good ...
Couple of months back I purchased some 9mm rounds from my cousins friend as I know they are chinese old surplus ammo ... last week I pop out some rounds from my CZ Phantom all was good but there was something wrong with the case, the case was cracked from one side and I popped out like 18 rounds from which 6 were cracked sameway.
I'm uploading some pictures ... senior members your opinion is needed and most importantly, What to do now?

Try finding if ammo is not reloaded. And shoot a magazine or two of the same ammo through another handgun in case ammo is not reloaded.
In any case it seems Phantom doesnt like this ammo (since I kept one and know how ammo sensitive a phantom is); did you face such issue with any other ammo ?
Keep your fears to yourself, but share your courage with others.

my friend bought around 400rds of "FAKE CHINESE" ammo. the slug in front of the fake chinese is round and copper coloured as opposed to the REAL CHINESE ones which have a brassy looking pointy slug. He bought the Fakes for 180 a pop. every 2nd of 3rd was a FTF or FTE ... his range day was Effed!

it is important to note that the case/shells of both FAKE and ORIGINAL Chinese have EXCATLY The same markings but the fake ones have a more lightly marked bottom/rim with inconsistent numbering

Khan sahib, only time I have experienced split or ruptured cases, it has been due to over pressured rounds. This is a tell tale sign of a local round.

I don't ever remember a POF round or a Chinese round that suffered from a ruptured casings, at least as far as I can remember.

    9mm Chinese rounds going 230 a pop
9mm POF rounds retailing at 130 a pop
    Lucky Star Saddar,Karachi.
Also keep a magnet to check the authenticity of the rounds as some dealers are known to sell rounds with iron projectiles.

Yes, a magnet is an absolute must. An iron projectile is a complete NO when it comes to preserving the barrel of your gun.

Now I'm thinking I should have done that when I bought POF as well, as I didn't purchase those from my trusted dealer.
