Salams everyone.
I bought two new pistols today, the Canik 55 Piranha and the Canik 55 Piranha Compact. I've been on the lookout for a CZ 75 but unable to find one in suitable condition or price I had been looking at high quality clones.
There are four popular versions available.
1). Tangfolio Force 99 (Made in Philippines)
2). NZ 85B (Made in China)
3). Sarsilmaz B6 also known as AR-24 (Made in Turkey)
4). Canik 55 (Made in Turkey)
The Canik 55 Piranha (Except for the extended frame design, which I love it's an identical copy of the CZ 75-B)
The Canik 55 Piranha Compact. After the Walther PP, this is the most beautiful compact pistol I've seen.
Disassembled comparison between the two.
Enter the Stoeger Cougar.
Note the width of the slide vs each other and the length of the grips/pistols.
Note the size of the Slides, both width and length.
1st Barrel is Piranha (4.7 Inches), 2nd Piranha Compact (4.0 Inches) and Stoeger (3.6 Inches)
All three compared disassembled.
Quick facts about the three:
Piranha: Length = 8.2 Inches (approx), Height = 5.6 Inches, Width = 1.378 Inches, Weight = 850 Grams, Barrel Length = 4.72 Inches, Capacity = 15 + 1
Stoeger: Length = 7.1 Inches (approx), Height = 5.5 Inches, Width = 1.5 Inches, Weight = 924 Grams, Barrel Length = 3.6 Inches, Capacity = 15 + 1
Piranha Compact: Length = 7.3 Inches (approx), Height = 5.23 Inches, Width = 1.378 Inches, Weight = 770 Grams, Barrel Length = 3.93 Inches, Capacity = 13 + 1
I will post a range review as soon as I come back from the GTG's InshAllah. The Compact is my new carry gun, 13 rounds of 9mm Hp's are enough to stop anything I want.
