Pump actions are generally preferred for HD, Mossberg 500/590 and Remington 870 are good options if you can find in reasonable condition, as NIB are out of your budget. You may consider DSA Shooter, thats a Mossberg clone and can be customised as well.Originally Posted by Zaheer

You should go for Turkish maverick 712. Semi automatic reliable tactical gun. But not an AK shaped rather its AR shaped. Hope u will find brand new under 70K.

Go for Kral XPS, its a saiga 12 clone. A proven gun.

Agree but the maverick 712 is not that much sensitive as maverick M12. I have fired about 30 shaheen 4# rounds No FTE or FTF issue noticed.

ED bhai I asked for review of inertia operated baikal mp156 in another thread but it remained unanswered.
have you tested it or heard about it's performance?

Better is to get gas operated Baikals whether 153 or 155. 156 will take some R&D and time to mature.

I have yet to see a baikal 156 here in Karachi. However, i did read the review by Klashnikov magazine. It was bad.. like really really really bad.
Like stay-away-if-you-value-your-money bad.
However, I would never peg the Baikal as a combat or home defence shottie. Too long a barrel, too low a capacity. Its basically a sporting gun
its purely a hunting tool. For HD and combat, Kalashnikov concern make Saigas and Veprs.
