    Ban on arms imports lifted?

    Dear fellows
I have some unconfirmed news that the ban on arms imports has been lifted by ministry of commerce. Can anybody have any confirm news regarding this?

Yes it was lifted more than a year ago... However there are some confusions regarding implementation of the policy.... Opening of LC etc

Thanks brother. How much more we have to wait for the confusion to be resolved? Any guess the prices may come down in the near future?

The problem in our country is that despite so many legal fire arms owners and our gun culture we do not any Fire Arms unions or civilian's formed organisations to respresent our voice. Each individual fire arm owner does their own run around in different ways wether its approach wise, financially or simply on a merit basis. (Ghareeb ka to poochay he nahi). Anyway long story short it's about time we or someone make a national fire arms union or Association where all legal fire arm owners can become members from all 4 provinces and other parts and we have reps from all areas and then Nationally, preferrabily reps who know the legal rights of civilians as per Pakistan's Arms law. Those reps csn then perhaps put our concerns forward to the government and interior ministry. Just like they do in Europe and America.

Dear I can't say with certainty, but only can hope that in next 2-3 months things will improve. Even now prices are less than what they were 6 months ago.

Totally I agree. I think PG should take the initiative as it is the only forum of its kind in Pakistan.
