    Recommend a shotgun

Need to buy an imported one, in semi-auto or pump-action.
I prefer pump action because, for a given price range, it is believed to be more reliable i.e., less complicated and fewer parts than the semi-auto.
    Purpose is mostly HD.
    Budget is around 200K
    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks in advance.

I saw a Mosberg 500 in wood furniture slightly used for around 75k. And the same for winchester defender in wood trim. (80% condition).

The Hatsun escort NIB should be under 45k or so. But for simple SD even ye ole DSA is a good one. I had one.. SHot the hell out of it.. gifted it to a fellow member. Even brand new ones are under 35k or so.

ANd unless you are going for a vepr 12 or BR 99.. The later one is the single most reliable semi I have ever seen. I helped fellow member eddie get one.. He liked it so much. He bought 2!

From 24 grainers to full power magnum loads in the same mag. She ate everything.. And without switching from high to low brass settings like the saiga 12. Like the Vepr 12 she has a veriable piston that auto adjusts to the load.

If you get a semi auto like a vepr 12 and use imported ammo in it it,'s as reliable as a AK.I have one for last 7 years.

    Thank you guys.
Vepr12 and BR99 have impressive reviews. Hatsun escort MP with pistol grip looks very nice.

Will visit LS next week and will share the pricing.

On a personal note. I use semi-auto shotties for fun at the range. For serious HD. I only rely on a pump. The lesser the parts, the lesser the chance of anything going wrong. No pistons, no auto adjustments according to high and low brass. Pump - rack-shoot-repeat.. And that satisfying sound of a round being chambered. The Hatsun PMA is a good gun. I helped fellow members Tatur1 and Textile Doc get those. The ghost ring sights are simply awesome..

Unfortunately, the weapon Failure to fire a lot with Shaheen cartridges. When they used to reload again and again. I simply picked up the used shells and fed em in my local DSA.. Bang. Not a single round created any fuss.

I had gotten it used for around 11k.

Saiga 12 is available in Peshawar with Fakhr-e-Alam, bought one for a friend 3 days back for 110K. Vepr (long barrel) was also available for 170K. i couldnt find Saida with anyone else in the vicinity, Vepr was available though but asking was 10-15K higher than Fakhr-e-Alam

Also available with Al Falah Arms. a few feet from F.Alam. Vep. 12E with short barral is also a superb weapon available with Haqqani with price tag of Rs.175k. besides the fact that shipment came through Afghanistan.

Bro all shotgun are coming from that rote it's not a problem that's why one can afford them otherwise it would've been like pistols and rifles with prices going crazy.
Vepr12 with standard barrel is a great weapon but the short barreled one with 12" barrel has cycling issue's.

Shotguns are unregulated in Afghanistan, one does not need a licence to buy shotguns. Afghanistan is flush with cheaper Turks. Many of those cross the border into Pakistan.

Yes shotguns are still comparatively cheaper compared to rifles and handguns. This should be taken advantage of. I was also planning of buying a shotgun, but procuring new liscences is almost always an issue. Especially, after D.C Islamabad liscences have been officially banned again. I should have applied for one or two more liscences, while they were open.

Theoretically open, but one must be in Federal Gazetted BPS-20 or above, to have a chance !

Last I have heard, they are only open for government officers, military personnel, members of parliament and some other categories of people who are 'VVIPs'. A lot of private persons had also gotten MOI liscences made, despite MOIs official policy position. But this was only till March. I found out about this later, otherwise I would have also tried. But now only the above-mentioned categories of people are being entertained.

Not necessarily all gazetted officers serving and retired are eligible for a gratis liscence. A friend of mine, who is in BPS-16 has recently got one made. Although he isn't even considered as a gazetted officer. But his wasn't a gratis license, as he had to pay the fee. A formal application was sent by his department to MOI with the names of all of the employees, that were interested. And it was approved. Another acquaintance has also got one made, although he is only in BPS-09. But he is an LEO.
