The Green Tipped 556 is NATO and US and may have been flown in if not by containers. The two types of powder are BLC 2, which is fine Ball Powder, and the granular or Kernel type is IMR 4895 or 4320.
The Annealing Mark is missing on local ammo and there is strange crimp sort of mark near the base or case head which is not there on real ammo.

come on...it ain't that bad as we make it... saying that 5.56 is a glorified 22lr is like saying that 7.62 x 51 is a glorified 7.62 x 21.... they are world apart.. just cuz they make holes of same diameter on paper don't make em same or even comparable.....

Some correction, the adoption of 5.56 was truly a breakthrough as the predecessors (30-06 etc) were bulkier, having more metal, more powder and costly, specially in the cases where Armies had to spend more time (from months to years) in a conflict zone. Vietnam is the best example, where the US army had to keep more and more ammo for carrying for a long time. And the same is the case of Red Army's migration from heavier calibers to 7.62x39 & 5.45. The only consistency is in the 7.62 NATO. But one thing is for sure, both these bullets are mass killers.

Pl. compare this part of your sentence ".... they are world apart.. " to "both these bullets are mass killers".

oh, in that aspect yes, they are both mass killers...but then so is the 22lr as per several reports.....despite the fact that I would personally not feel very secure carrying a 22lr for SD...I personally read a report conducted on massive number of shootouts and most casualties were with 22lr rounds, higher than 9mm, .45acp or the 357 magnum...

Most likely a US report where the 22lr is a common round. Besides most baddies would not be carrying a 22 while doing their dirty stuff.

well, always better to depend on an official report than gut feeling right? but again, like I said, I myself would not carry 22lr for SD, but at the same time I do not overlook the potential of this round... it for sure is a killer... and more of a killer than the 32acp or long.... just cuz it dont make a bang dont make it any less lethal.......
