JazakAllah Khair for your kind words dear. Let me share a pic of the Headstamp of POF made 30-06. Based on the information of the headstamp, this particular round was made in 1963. However, I have few from as late as 1969 as well so I am guessing they were under production till early 70s for the M1 Garand which Pakistan Army was using in 1971 war.
When I was buying my Garand, an aged arms dealer told me NOT to buy it because we lost East Pakistan because of the flawed performance of the Garand in 1971. Hahahaha. I had a good laugh.
Glad to be of some service, ED Dear.
Stay Blessed.

Ok.. Now I want a Garand. it seems like the logical choice, now that I have the .303 Enfield.

ED, I will encourage you to go for Garand, only if its in the genuine 30-06 and has not been locally converted to 8mm. YES, finding ammo will be a pain in neck but still it can be found.
Cheers

Sir Jibbz. I wont touch an 8mm convert with a 10 yard pole. These things don't even engage the grooves. Might as well get a semi auto shotgun. Unfortunately, only converts are available in Karachi while 30 06 ammo is around 500 a pop.

With these insane prices, I think it's better to go in hibernation and save that hard earned dough.

MashaAllah bro.nice addition to your collection.
Bought this very rare (from the perspective of our country) Remington 870 MCS few months back.
MCS stands for Modular Combat Shotgun.
https://www.remingtondefense.com/sho...mcs/24973.html
Currently the barrel on it is 18 inches with an overall Parkerized Finish.
The Chamber is 3" (76mm).
It weighs around 7.5 lbs.
The picatinny rail on it can be mounted with all types of 1913 style red dot or holographic sights.
When I got it, it had a 3 shells mag capacity and so I made a mag extension for it and now its 6+1.
MCS has the propriety system of installing and removing the stock which is done through a small captured push pin. If its pushed-in from the right, it protrudes out to the left and the stock is removed from the receiver.
Later I found a pistol grip of a Turkish Sarsilmaz Shotgun which needed a little bit of filing and could be easily replaced with the stock.
