Hello to every one on Pakguns
Need some help regarding the selection of a .22lr pistol for the purpose of shooting practice
i have narrowed down to a few pistols in budget range
1) Sig mosquito
2) Walther P22
3) Akdal mini 06
4) Norinco M93 (Woodman copy (http://www.marstar.ca/gf-norinco/22-M-93.shtm)) (Dont know about availability ) ~200$
5) U22 Neos Beretta (Dont know about availability ) ~275 $
Ruger MKIII (out of question due to its price ) and ISSC due to its bad reviews
any other suggestions are also welcome ..

I'd pick walther p22 out of all these, a good compact & reliable pistol.

From these choice i would recommend you Sig Mosquito as a first choice as its most reliable, and Walther P22 second. But also check GSG 1911 too.

I have used Walther P-22, it was good (not extra-ordinary). But the pistols u have mentioned are not meant for Target Shooting. The one should be used for Target Shooting are above 150K like Ruger MKIII n Walther SP22.

since all rim fires are kinda ammo specific, i would need one which could chew the most of them
i am looking towards the ruger sr22 too as it is reported to eat all what it is fed ..
does any one know its cost or landing price in pakistan

Walther P22 from above, u will have an added advantage of getting an extended barrel which greatly increases its accuracy. works flawlesly with SB ammo. Try to find a buckmark its in the same league as ruger

It's a great pistol no doubt about but, i see a same problem again & again which is most of the threads are about what is out there or what's new coming in & prices. But these things don't count at all specially in Pakistan where ever dealer have it's own collection & price on weapons & ammo. There is no body by Gov to monitor them. So either we don't have a complete collection at all or in some cases if they have something the price is way to much ...
For Example .22 Winchester 525 ammo cost round about $20 = Rs 2,000 Roughly for 525 rounds. That is the retail price, which means the store makes it profit in that price too.
But No. Not that price in Pakistan.
We pay the same or more price for 50 bullets of .22.
Cheap pistol like Glock which sells for $400. This is a country where people sell it for Rs 4,00000
Does this looks fair to you. No wonder why people buy illegal weapons, when the legal price is 10x
