Hi guys i visited my arms dealer today and he used a few tertm. i would appreciate it if you could clarify them 244 , 223 , 222, "kope".all of these refer to guns and not ammo . I couldnt tell the diffrence b/w 244,222,or kope and the 223 looked like an AR15. plz help

There are many terms used by the dealers which are different from the origional.As here all imported weapons are classified as "Angrezee" regardless of its country.
Gun Barrel is termed as "Shapelay" or Flute !
It will be interesting to know similar terms from members.

Another desi term is "Mauser" for any handgun particularly semis. I have been dissapointed so many times when someone says i have a mauser but it is infact either a TT or something else.

There is no harm in discussing terms:

Kope = Kalashnikov = AK47
222 = Kalakov = Kirinkov = AK74 or AK 74SU
223 = M16/M4
The 244 is probably 44 bore which is 7.92 Kurz originally used in Stg 44.

There's also an old Gun named 'Dangaar' (U think of cattle or animal) .Its barrels are now used to make Pistols in darra.Will try to get its name.

Cattel theives have their slang for their favourite gun i.e 12 bore which they refer as Mujj (Buffalo) and sawed off version is called Kautta (calf)

Interesting thread. But I can't believe no one mentioned 'Bandook' which is basically a word that could be used for ANY weapon. From a pistol to a GPMG, everything's a bandook in common terms. :D

LOL .. I was asking a guy for .380 ACP in saddar, he asked me about the pistol that i would fire this bullet from. I told him the model but he did'nt recognize it. Then i tried to explain the mechanics, shape, size etc to him.
Wat he said in the End was, "Wo Calach Wala Pistal?"
N i was like "Huh! ?? $%&*%$@#" .. LOL

Can someone tell me exactly what a double dazzi bullet is in english terminology?

I assume as the name suggests the bullet goes bang twice :) but what is the proper name for this type of round?

Germanei ..means Mauser Broom handle
Germanei Shal duze Mauser 20 shot
jaaze means 9mm luger (German Army Officer's Firearm)
Dwa meela means double barrel shot guns
Machine means AK-47
Pa Badda means ...conceal carry

more will come as i remember more

i walk in to a gunshop and his like 30 bore 30 bore 30 bore im like what the hell are you on about 12mm 9mm .22 7mm ect pistol or shot gun his like erm thise bore. then i find out 30 bore is the rage in pakistan after i ask him to show me a bullet for comparison im like some dud 9mm clone

And you are right most of these terms originate from 'Hujra's" or "Behtaks" very common part of our rural culture where people meet in the evenings and discuss everything.

In our area double dazzi means incendiary or soft nose type bullets because lot of people think a soft nose has something explosive in it which is not true.In English proper name for double dazzi is Incendiary rounds because the explode on impact with a bright flash.
