Hi friends. My friend bought an arminius revolver 8 shot capacity cal .22lr. the dealer never mentioned but upon exploring we came to discover that it also is capable of firing .22 magnum rounds. Its a fine conceal carry. besides my friend got it NIB for 22k. i wondered if anyone can shed some light on the specific model i m posting the pics

Best Regards

Nice purchase bro .. please let me know in case he wants to sell it anytime ;)

It fires well and is accurate, with little recoil

Seems like a model HW3 post 1989 as the frame says "made in Germany".It is a .22 lr as stamped
so although it takes .22 WMR do not feed them

There is a version of HW-3 bring produce with interchangeable cylinders for .22 lr and 22 wmr but the barrel on that is clearly stamped as 22WMR .

The cartirege sizing rrule is you can fire a weaker through stronger .38 in 357 or a 32 long in 32 magnum not the other way around.

http://www.hermann-weihrauch-revolver.de/german/g_HW_03_05_07/HW_03.jpg

As you can see it say 22 WMR on the barrel with spare cylinder .

@Faisji: thanks for the advice, i will be pleased to have the word reach my friends ear loud and clear regarding the weak ammo through strong barrel and not other wise. Besides according to the dealers inventory register it was brought in to his shop in 1986

BTW i am surprised by the price as even as collector item these revolvers are not worth more than $100

There is European site offering them for lik EUR35 to 75 NIB

You can not compare European or American markets with Our's :D A Glock is only $50 to $60 more then
Taurus handguns in their markets on the other hand there is a huge difference atleat about 200% more in
our part of the world mainly because of Taxes , Import Duties and Dealer's huge margins :| .. So
in my view 22K NIB for arminus is not much for a True Collector :)

@Punjatanis: Thanks bro indeed. My friend was actually confused over buying either a chinese TT or this one. I told him to buy this one. the reason i dont like russian calibers is due to there poor accuracy

hmmm! Now this is quite unbelievable, yet I cannot say, let's hear more. Though cylinder is changed, the .22 round by no means would be able to "groove" itself out of the barrel, if barrel is for the .32, since it cannot be the other way around!!

Above example of .22LR/Magnum is possible only, because the caliber is the same. So is it with the .45 long/.410 shot-shells combo. Eager to learn more!! Regards.

Sorry for bumping up an ancient thread. but the current prices of an NIB .22 lr 7 shot Arminius HW 3 like the one shown in the pic above is 52k!!

(Ansari Arms Lucky star Karachi.)

The price of the .32 german revolvers in various makes still remains the same. Around 15k or so.

Its only the .22lrs that have gone though the roof.

Used. 20k HW 5 70% condition and 20k rossi 6 shot DAAD Zamzama

16k Ansari arms HW 5 .32 7 shot

It had all its bluing stripped away with only raw allow left. Some's wierd idea of a chroming experiment. Teh barrel was chromed though. but it looked pornograpic to me so I left it.

2 inch berrel .32 eagle brand 7 shot 22k in black and white (local colouring) German weapon.

Same .32 HW 3 at Adeel bhai Pioneer arms 40k and HW 5 28k

60% condition at Bullsye hw 5 7 shot with 4 inch berrel 15k (i purchased that one but yet to pick it from the shop)

I have a thing for wheel guns spacialy low cost 7 shot german .32s which I tend to buy

other brands u can can expect in the market are Eausta 7 shot german .32 with manual safety... Around 25k in 65% condition Eagle and Falcon .. Virtually NIB Around 35k or so at Mir armoury. The Eausta, falcon, eagle are all by and large Arminius clones. Arminius is still in the gunnery busiess and they have a web presese and Herr Wariahigh tends to answer his mails personaly if u ask him about a particular Arminius model. And will give U details. the rest of the manufecteres dont exist anymore.

For actual SD i prefer a wheelie over a pistol anyday. Besides the low recoil makes for better shot placement. And german reliability in 15k. Imagine a german pistol going for that rate!!

Lemme know when u want one.. :)

Thanks ED.

and exactly! What could go wrong in such an amazing price. But I have no idea about what condition %tage means, let alone how to ascertain it. Will definitely hit you up.

Aren't the new HW revolvers available here?

The only NIB HW I saw was the .22lr at Ansari's And it was quite old. Looked like an 80s model.

%age is my guesstimates as a rough idea.

wait lemme show U

the SS one is 90%+ She sports a bigger and better HW% grip. She is also my ex.

The one after that is the one at DAAD asking 20k around 65% condition. She is a 6 shot rossi

and the 2nd last one is the one at bullseye. Asking 17k Final 15k

The last one is also a HW 5 at DAAD asking 20k 65% condition.

Thanks for the elaboration.

So the way I see it this condition rating is more guesstimates than an accurate science...

The first one looks awesome! Why'd you sell it?

That is a .32 bore Revolver.. I am sure if it would have been a .357 Magnum Dan Wesson Revolver, its price would have been at par with a Colt or Smith & Wesson.

Enigmatic Desires

it was a .32 magnum. Capable of .32 S&W long, Short and magnum (and in a pinch) the .32 acp.

The .32 magnum is pretty decent load. Though not at par with teh .357 of course.

So far a few dozen .32 S&W long (S&B and a German manufacturer called DAK: The DAk was all black and corroded) and 2 .32 ACP rounds.

All fired without a hitch. :) And tack driving accuracy at 15 yards. Surprisingly the .32 acp that generates 20k PSI over the .32 S&W long's 15k PSI has faar milder recoil (at par with the .22lr)

However .32 acp is not recommended for a .32 S&W long weapon.

I wil update as and when I hit the 100 round mark.

I can certainly offer any gentleman who wants to sale such Revolver, more than any dealer. But revolver must be NIB and of high brand.

No one on the whole forum ...... sounds strange

Problem is time allowed for weapon purchase is upto the end of July. Originally license is of 9mm. I need to convert bore first and obviously I do not want to go for any grace period. So, time is short. Plz contact on the email address provided for quick purchase of weapon.

Once the deal with payment is done I will handover the weapon and license to my dealer for bore change DCO entry and etc.

Please feel free to contact me
