M thinking about re-scoping my Browning BAR Lightweight .308. i likes a Nikon Buckmaster that i saw with the BDC reticle. i thinks it's more clear and brighter than mine 2-7 VX-1; although i was looking at the Nikon in 3x9-40. The Leupold has a 32mm objective lense. If i do change scopes i would go to a 3x9-40. Do any of you have any experience with Nikon scopes? are there any others i should look into in this price range ($219 at Cabelas)? I know Nikon has a similar reticle on their Monarch, but that jumps the price up to the $400 neighborhood. Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

Sorry bro can't comment on this. My experience has been with Leupold Vx III (LR) Duplex in 50mm and I think that is brilliant for even ranges up-till 5-600. Yes I agree it will be around 8-900$ neighborhood and I don,t know whether your budget permits that or not. If you have some one having an account on e bay, you may try getting a pre-owned in the range of 2-300GBP

Depends how much wide angle you prefer in accordance with your need. Leupold have a big range to decide

engineer, Nikon buckmaster is a great choice, but do look into bushnell elite series (3200,4200, etc) they are preety accurate and has similar price to the nikon. also check out scopes by burris, its not a huge brand name but they do make good optics.

In optics you get what you pay. If you want a Leupold VX 111 go to Malik Fayaz Hira Arms Nila Gumbad you will have a number of options and will get a VX 111 for around 55000/-or so which is the same price for which you will get it in the US

nikon are a ok for the price range but i think for $10 more you should get the Bushnell Elite 3200 3-10x40mm from cabelas and comes with lifetime no receipt warranty and raingaurd coating on the lens really works so you can see when lens is wet or even snow on it

make sure to use good quality mounts and i am sure you will be very happy with your purchase

I don't know if these guys will ship to Pak, but for the price they are really good scopes. I have a Russian POSP 6X42 on my .303, and it works really good (see avatar).
