Guns are not allowed in UAE, you dont get a license for it. Cracal has opened a shooting club in Abu-Dhabi where both C & F versions are avilable for use. It is copied on glock design but i find its recoil to be bit too much as compared to Sig or Taurus.

Topak
08-07-2009, 12:27 PM
sounds good, but wait, lets see wot is the performance.
would say a very nice effort from Arabs.if range in 50k,it will capture market.

Adeel Ahmad
08-07-2009, 01:17 PM
Welll the recoil matter is another thing but the Hand Gun does look nice.

Adeel Ahmad
08-07-2009, 01:23 PM
Well the range can only be 50K if someone imports the Pistol here in Pakistan. Otherwise we will just keep on looking at the website.

Usama
11-07-2009, 02:53 PM
i guess from it looks it would worth more then 100 k +

Taurus
11-07-2009, 03:39 PM
no i dont think its going to be more than 60-70 k if imported and the msg was clear in the video that they will test it in their country and then will sell it abroad lets c may b this year we will find it or anyone from u a e can ask their customer services abt the progress with pakistan A maliks u can do this favour

Salvation
16-07-2009, 09:39 PM
is it still in testing phase or on the shelves...... look realy rugged n awesome ...... dubai shdnt have any problems exporting their arms to Pakistan if that be the case it shouldnt go above 50k other wise 80K+

Conceal Carry
16-07-2009, 09:56 PM
Being a Glock clone, I don't think it would be anywhere near 50K mark, in my opinion it would range between 80~100K.

Adeel Ahmad
17-07-2009, 03:25 PM
Yes i do agree with CC that it would be around 80-100K mark but the problem seems that Dubai Officials might not be that interested exporting it to Pakistan.

Are they selling it in UAE to Civillians ? cuz as far as i know, civillians cannot keep weopns in the UAE.

AMaliks
22-07-2009, 02:52 PM
No they dont sell and civillians cant keep fire arms, they have two types of licenses in UAE, one is for sheikh's and one for gun collectors which is given after detailed checking and only to local's, difference in both well the gun lover can only buy a gun to hang on wall no bullets are allowed to civillians :/.

I plan to go at their shooting range next week end and will ask about price here in UAE and if they are exporting/insterested in exporting to Pak. If they are do we have means to do it???

This week its Jebel Ali shooting club for some shot gun shooting, will try to take pictures if allowed.

AMaliks
26-07-2009, 04:15 PM
@Sniper Bhai JA was a bit expensive, for non members it was 175 DH for 25 shots, this included shotgun rental and any skeets used. Membership was 2500 DH/year, i forgot how much was it for member. 9MM pistol was 150 DH for 25 rounds.

If you are interested Abu-Dhabi has much better option, Cracal, membre ship is bit high 4000 DH/ year, but they charge you 2 DH /bullet and 25 DH for gun rental. Normally i fire 50 rounds and cost is 125 DH/week which is not bad to blow off some steam, JA is good after a month or so to blow off extra steam.

If you are married then be careful this will be considered as pasay ka ziya it doesnt matter if she goes to parlour and spends 1000DH in one hour, this argument wont work.

AMaliks
26-07-2009, 04:20 PM
Ah forgot at JA they have o/u from Beretta skeet, i could make out the exact number probably 686 E Skeet

At Abu-Dhabi they have only 9MM, Sig P226, Taurus 99 & Cracal C & F, no shoutgun range.

its kind a sad that we, as a nation, are way more advanced than UAE and actually provide some weapons / ammo to UAE but still we have to go to them for the most basic (handgun) of weapons. why cant we make something of this quality? :/

I think the pistol price willbe about 40,000 in Pakistan, Beacuse Now a days its not a big technology, In fact its only less than a kilogram metal without any digtal technology, If Arabs invests billion of dollars in other businesses It is only a peace of cake for them,, I think handgun manufacturing need not billion of dollars, The setup canbe make in maximum few million dollars on 100 years old technology, The western countries are going to hightech technologies like laser, telecom and setalite, A little example is drone planes that operates directly from america and seach and the person or computer capture photos and hit the target from thousands kilometers away, So they are selling these small business to other countries like Turkey and UAE

My dear friend that is not how the firearm business works. While we might think the costs of setting up a plant and manufacturing it may be a couple of million dollars it requires a lot more money in marketing and sales not to mention having the muscle and clout to move your merchandise around. Take the example of the chinese, who are capable of producing some excellent products yet find themselves restrained in accessing the most lucrative markets.

Unique rear sights. However, can't find such a model on Caracal website. The Detonics Combat Master features similar forward-mounted rear sights.

yeah. but having to align such a small ummm forgot the word. the closer two points are the more difficult it is to allign them to a third (the target) .
a front sight and inch ahead of the rear would prolly be useless.

My dear Mr Glocky I agree with you, But In this business the investment return is very higher than any other products (in my view more than 5 times after manufacturing and other all costs),Beacuse they have only to convert a kilogram of metal into handgun, they are very clever poeple they bought PTCL in Pakistan, warid telecom and a lot of other investment they are doing, So its a peace of cake for them to invest in this highly profit product,
Please remeber the main exports income of USA Russia and some other countries are Arms

Glocky

@Mehranbiz, yes the returns are high. And it is a very protected industry

Now that you mention it i recall reading on some forum that the manufacturing cost of a Glock is around $75/= (i cannot verify this) so go figure :)

starfish if you see the pistols is not facing you its the opposite direction wht you see in the pic is the rear side of the pistol, so it doesnt have a rear sight. now i also think why would a weapon has to have a rear sight, i dont think so if not have it will effect the aim!

This handgun seems to have a very small sight radius (may be around 4 inches or less). I wonder how it is a very accurate gun?
But one can only comment with authority after firing and properly testing the gun on the range. I will be looking forward to a chance. :)

checked their website, rear sight mentioned by Taurus bro been put only on their sub compact model other two models (large & compact) have normaly positioned rear sight :) so no worries its only SC model which is intended to be used as concealed back up gun and they pushed rear sight forward on the slide just to make it an easy draw specially when its been concealed IWB or in ankle holster :)

If this is your first-ever buy then priority wise (striker fired are better to be used by experienced person):
1. CZ 75
2. PT92/99
3. CARACAL F
But these all are full frame handguns and difficult to conceal carry:)

If for daily cc purpose.
1) cz75 P01
2) cz 75compact pcr
3) caracal c

If u want large size
