thankx guys, the famous man eating croc, rather an arm eating crog, this croc was presented to me by a very dear friend of mine dr zulfiqar mirza, the croc eat the arm os his bangali cook and now he is armless but still alive and cooking good meal, and then he chewed another servant and become very fruocious they put him down this one is around 8 foot,i have shot 3 croc so far my bigger one is around 9foot still lying with a taxidermist in nazimabad from last 4 years as the man was busy and still is i have more pics of my trophy room but my trophy room is my persnol bar and a libarary,i didnt post the room pics because some ppl might dont like my drinks collection but if have permition i can post them, regards.

Nice pics and the 'library' has very tasteful interior. I really liked the floor tiles. Is it some sort
of a farmhouse or something? I don't know what mods would say about posting more pics, but
I personally would love to see those :)

@Sikandar,

If its the same taxidermist who I think you are talking about, I have heard he takes quite a long while. But he is pretty good. Nice trophy room, I like the layout, traditional tiles, and a rustic red brick work. As for the bar, Im sure, you wont mind showing us your collection of vintage Rooh Afza and Thadal!! ;)

Sikandar Sahib you can add pics under this thread.Just click on 'Add image to post" .
I have moved your these hunting pics also.
One advice, when you take a picture from the old framed one,try to make an angle so that flash light does not hit the glass straight or take a pic outside in natural light.

Sikander Panhwar
30-08-2009, 12:57 PM
thank u so much, mustansir africa its self is a big catuch once i was told by the PHs wife once u go to africa it calls u back and u have wings to fly back, besides that if u new to africa u come across many things which u know later and then u learn by ur mistakes, the outfitter try his utmost to squeese u in lot of shapes if u miss an animal, this is regarding to ur question of caliber use in my first was 270 on my first animal at 280 yards with a dot scope which was suppose to b a culling rifle,my bullet went through the hump of kudu, hump is like an camel has it on its back,so i missed we just got a drop of bullet nothing else but i had to pay the full animal cost, secong was a running shot on a oryx missed completlly,so i was pissed off on my self u c when u there u have a certain budget in which ur whole safari goes like we all r not like arabs if u c any animal u just shoot and pay u know what i mean,so while disscusing on camp fire a friend sugessted that i should try 300 mag, cause even when u hit and miss the vital area, atleast the animal will bleed a lot and that way they can find it and u can get it by shooting again or dead either way its urs,u i always recon to go for 300 mag, forget about the ppl they say the recoil shit,i dont think it matters, the only thing matters is to shoot straight try practice straight i tell u in next episode its easy but require lots of practice,im sure skeetor ab will agree with me,so its not alltogether a rocket science, any questions im here for u all, kind regards

Skeeter60
30-08-2009, 01:21 PM
Sikander Panhwar
You are absolutely right. Nothing like practice. When hunting one never notices the recoil.
The PHs are rip offs. The animals are mostly big in Africa skins thick and bones big and strong; for plains game nothing like a 300 win or weatherby

Yes,Sikanadar , Hizbullah Bughio is like a brother. You have done some excellent hunting. Hope to see you in Sindh on the next partridge shoot or when ever you are in Lahore on your next sojourn.
I found a 300 gr Federal soft point from a .375 H&H did not go through a Waterbuck. Although it dropped stone dead in ten steps. I have realised during my little experience in Africa (5 Cape Buffaloes and some plains game in the last 5 years, ) that what ever Caliber one is shooting (.300 Mags and up ) one needs premium bullets . Buffaloes are built like a tank and rated as the most dangerous of the Big Five. Hope to see you soon

thankx all, skeeter sb u must have seen marc watts, offically called by the locals in africa bhawna moja, moja i suppose they call who kills in one shot,he has done some excellant hunting and pratically has killed most of the animals in one shot dead on their feet, one shoot he has killed 12 animals all with single shot, the longest he has the zebra i think zebra is also one of the tough ones,he shot that zebra at 475 yds with one shot i have all the cd of his excellant shot placements if u havent i can send u the cds its a treat to watch him, what i like about him he knows the anotomy of the animals and their vital and he puts the bullets right there, but bufflows r realy tough, this guy has shot many crocs its a must c movies, regarding bullets in africa americans r the one who r updated and bring there own stuff, but we who cant even take our rifles overseas, even if we do we go through hell so we depand upon the rental PHs rifle so i agree with u bullets does matter.regards

Dear Sikandar bhai,
Thank you. I look forward to meet you. The triple X barnes .375 was very effective it goes through the shoulder of a Buffaloe breaking it and reaches the vitals. Other soft points do not cross the shoulder and one has to shoot just behind the shoulder if a lucky angel is provided.

Great "seven year old" Himalayan Ibex but I wonder why is your Kudu not so big ... ? as this must be a guided hunt ! when & where did you shoot your Himalayan Ibex ? looks like KKH ... Sust area near KVO ?

Sikander Bhai, is this the same Kudu on that wall ... it looks much bigger now.

But the bases of this kudu look thicker !

http://img268.imageshack.us/img268/6951/29534228.jpg

Have you tried Blue Sheep ... as yet ?

Regarding that injured Sindh Ibex you shot I thought why is the billy so thin now I know what happened to this poor fellow otherwise all animals in Surjan Mountains are so healthy.

Last year, we also found an unusual Urial in Durreiji whose both horns were so curved they made holes in both their cheeks and started bulging out from under their eyes and my client shot it and saved him from this pain otherwise it would have gone blind

Here are its photos

http://i560.photobucket.com/albums/ss46/pakistanguides/Blandford_Horn_1.jpg

http://i560.photobucket.com/albums/ss46/pakistanguides/Coreys_Big_Urial.jpg

By the way this is currently the new pending world record when it will be soon certified by SCI.

PS : Sikandar Bhai, your trophies are excellent but unfortunately their photos are very poor ! If I ever visit you, I'll escort you on your hunts and make some excellent photos for you ... (obviously these will be complimentary) .. and for that I won't ask you for "some booze" (toba toba)... lol .. but I'm sure you'll allow me carry a lota & jai-namaz which I always take on my trips !

i love Kudus .. this is the only African specie which facinates me. It's also the most intelligent of all the species there and I look forward to escorting my American friend Corey sometime in End Oct or Early November in Uganda. Being a new & less crowded hunting destination and fewer hunters going there, the trophies are naturally bigger and hunts are much easier.
For your Blue Sheep Hunt ... Sikander Bhai please give me your e-mail and I'll discuss this hunt with you in detail.

Dear Mr.Sikander Panhwar,

I copied the American Skeet throwing machine (Manually operating for one skeet load).Manufacturer of skeet machine is charging 2700.rupees, 4000.rupees & 5500.rupees gradually according to the weight and quality of the Machine. Price can be little bit vary due to the Iron rate fluctuation in the market.

I copied the pattern of skeet machine for members of Hunting Masters, and in the past for the members of Shooting Club.

Recommended standard machine is about 5500 rupees with best quality of spring, and you should be needing set of 4 machines to fly the skeet at different angles at the same round.

This machine is available at Lahore & Rawalpindi markets in between 12000.rupees to 14000.rupees, at selected shops.
If you like to practice it I can try to manage it for you, I think its not an expensive including its few hundreds of shipment charges by any currier of transport goods service.

Best regards.

Sikander Panhwar
21-09-2009, 11:53 AM
ilyas bhai yes u can make ur own farm and keep animals by simply getting a permit from sindh wild life department and pay them,i have deers hog deers birds and other animals,i use to breed phasants ring neck khalege and golden i had in thousands but once in sindh a heat wave came and also i was new in breeding birds hundereds of my birds died and eaten them self as they have an instint thats why ppl put a plastic type peice in their nose area so they should not eat each other,so finelly i let them free on my lands and we did some shooting and gifted them to my friends,i also had crocodiles but once then brag into the deer fence and many of my deers died with panic,so i also got rid of them, skeeter sahib i defenatly come and pay my visit to u inshallah would love to,RZ, CROCODILE HUNTING is really tough u need to practice shooting and try to put ur bullet in a ciggratte packet at 200 yards if u can do that croc is in ur pocket other wise its gone, its like one shot kill the area is where its smile ends or in the neck,or over the eye, that how it gives u second chance to kill, either way ur ph will always ask u to shoot second shot even if he is dead ,thats called confirmation shot, cause croc bask in the sun and in open area the moment u go close to him he dips in the water cause he always lays right on the edge of the river,i hope i explained it right, story in next episode, regards

@ Psychiatrist

Sir,

1. Alcohol was frowned upon in the Holy Quran but banned much after the Death of the Holy Prophet.
2. Swine is forbidden by Islam because of health reasons. Pig meat contains a very high level of toxins latent diseases and even worms.
3. Blood transfusion is different from consuming blood to feed your self.

Also sir respectfully the Rules of this forum state clearly that Political, Religious, and Hate based discussions are not permitted, please follow the rules as that is the only way for us all to enjoy and benefit from this forum.

all respactable members i respect ur coments and im glade u liked the pics, lions were shot in south africa,in the early morning lion was located and was shot and when they were going to examin they saw the lioness in aggrasive mood and was about to charge by wagging her tail, there was 3 PHs conducting that shoot and decided to go for her that was an split sec decetion, and took 2 bullets of h&h 375 mg.now regarding ur question about wildboar, what i heard is that a jagullar vain of the boar is so up when u cut the throat it dosent bleed properlly,2nd i heard is that a sow the female wildboar in heat mate with doz of boar who make a line and full fill her both the meths r not confirmed but this is what ppl say, about alcohal, many ppl go with the theory of mr ghalib who once replied to a english, suar nahin khat sharab peeta hon adha muslman hon.that was said by ghalib, so everyone has their own theory, regards

Three things are forbidden for muslims to consume: 1) Alcohol, 2) Swine, 3) Blood. If yoy consume alcohol, why then consuming swine is so terrible for a muslim. Koran allows these three under the circumstances ie blood infusion for saving life, it is ok. So,if people are hungry why not ..........pig too. And most of the muslims don't know why pig is forbidden to eat? Do you have any idea why?

why ? Because:

1. they eat human's dump, hece their own.
2. in Islam neck less four legged Animal is Haram
3. pig female does not get pregnant unless 10 or may be more pigs mate with her at the
same time.
5. highly cholesterol flesh

Being a Muslim we MUST follow the rules, there are certian orders which we as Muslims donot have to find a reason for. Its OK if you are trying to convince a non-Muslim but there shouldnot be any debate among the Muslims on such matters.
Our religion is to believe & follow what we are ordered to, NO ARGUMENT, NO DEBATE, NO REASONS, just believe my brothers. Belief without seeing is the main pillar of Islam.

Dear Denevo Prah, i totally agree with you but in Quran and Ahadees you can find any answer or logic, who so ever want to know or undersatnd Muslim or non-muslim, in Quran no one no only the meangs of or logic of *hooruf-e-Muqqataat* after believing its good to know the logic and reason so we can increase our knowledge and that is called (Ilm)

finding a reason for knowledge is allowed and good for us only because suppose if a non-muslim ask you the same question and if you are blank then it leaves no interest to him to embrace Islam.

ARMAGEDDON Bro, I never said that we shouldnot take guidance from Quran & Sunnah but trying to find logic for Ehkam e Sharia and then debating these just for the discusion sake (among the Muslims) is forbiden. Convincing non-muslims is another thing as they donot have any belief.
So please donot indulge in discussions people of Bughdad were having 800 years ago instead of preparing themselves to fight with Mangols.

And every one of us know that we have a clear order given 1400 yrs ago to "seek ILM even one have to travel to China (from S. Arabia)" and the ILM in this order is not restricted only to Hallal & Haram, as there in China no Hallal & Haram at all :)

psychiatrist-1 Wellcome to PakGuns.
As explained by the Senior members we have made some rules which have to be followed. No Discussion about religion, caste, politics.
If we can follow the forum rules without arguing, then there is no question that we have to follow what is ordered in Quran... science have revealed what Quran stated 1400 years ago.

Yes Sikander, I've seen his work decorated in his sitting lounge with my own eyes over a 100 times. He resides in PECHS-6.

His team has worked on over 80% of the stuff displayed in National History Museum at Karachi Zoology Park and the National History Section of Sindh Wildlife Department in Karachi.

By the way, he is also good in supply of gun dogs and hunting dogs as well as their training and also supply of veterinary services, dog trainings and accessories at your door step. His shop is in Defence which you can visit. His address is "Shop no 3 and Shop no 10, Nisar Shaheed Park, DHA Phase 4, Golf Course Road 5, near Sunset Club, Karachi.

You can get in touch with him at his cell number above.

PS: Having said that, I do not give any guarantees and advise you to check whatever you need to check before you give him/them your stuff. Personally I have found him to be pretty straight forward and honest in his dealing.

psychiatrist,i just imported a overunder which i posted earlier in my post from uk,from a dealer direct to me on mna quota,it came direct on the port at karachi, where i paid 46% duty and collected it my self no dealer involved, there is a site called gunrunner, and the guys name i guess is richard i will confirm if u need the info, also from usa one month before ur hunt any where in the world u fill the form with the airline u r travlling and then they complete the formalites and then u can take ur guns it has a proper way to do it,even from dubai, this accuratereloading forum i post earlier is run by an arab named saeed he also mentioned it in his forum how to take guns for hunting from dubai to any destination. like i said if u disscuss this with an american they know how to deal with the authorities and they take 3 to 4 guns on a safari, and they r doing it,just check the site and u will find out.last year 4 or 5 forigners came for ibex hunt and they all brought their own guns.regards

No problem mates, i have done some internet research on this subject and i should make both of you gentlemen aware that the the State department of US requires special licensing for FFL dealers to import/export firearms in the US. The annual fees is around $2500/= but the penalties for any violations are quite severe for the dealers which is why most of them are not in this line of work.

Second there is also a list of countries to which they can export after procuring the relevant permissions, unfortunately Pakistan is not amongst them. I did have a link to that list and will post it when i find it.

Still it does not hurt to find out, pls also remember that as advised by other members you also need the relevant import permits from the GoP to import any firearm into Pakistan. This is also a requirement from the US Department of State for processing any export permit requests.

Hope that clarifies any queries unanswered.

wajahat yaar comon u havent seen some hunters i have a book called great hunters and their trophie rooms man u will forget everything practically every species of the world and all stuffed when i say every specie that means over 360 different animals of the world,im just a bigner in the world of hunting, now faisal reagrding himmalayan ibex im sure that is really a best specie one can hunt in our own country legally in the best atmosphere and test of ur own self, first of all no matter where u go what animal u r after u practically go in their habitat dont forget they never come to u in city u have to b fit with the knowledge of the area habitat and the nature of the animals plus the perfact gears without the gear u r no where exactly that happen to me though i did my home work of 2 years reading disscussing, but i had no experince of the harsh weather and altitude, now altitude is yet another obstical u come across when u go on alpines,i mean hights u have to b clamatize of the alltitude by spending some time on lover levels and in some case u have to take some tablets called dimax for the sickness, actually in my case i was unaware of 2 things which i regret later was a good 500 thinsulate hunting boot and the antifreeze for ur vehical so when u in that position ur jeeps oil get freeze and again u r no where so what i use to do i use to run my jeeps engine all the time with an interwel of half an hour,i was staying in sust with my guide jalal he has a nice and cosy home with heating excellent soups and food which i took almost everything but they were my cook with their kind hospitality, from sust i use to come and go to khyber village which was around 25 km and those 25 km road use to b full with snow i still remmember i use to listen a indian sone tum dil key dharkan main rehtay ho. with a mindblowing views and now when ever i listen that song i go back in my memoy lane, only once i stayed in the jeep cause we were out of the time,to cut the stroy short just dont want to bore u guys and braging that i have done a big job. any one can do it and should do it to explore its a wonderfull place and once in a life time cause u dont go there regular basis.thankx

Sikandar Sb,
I couldn't help myself and had to post. I am following this thread since it was started and loving every moment of it. Sir, you are an inspiration for all the Gun Geeks and aspirant hunters. Seriously, lets have a nice cozy GTG around a bonfire as soon as possible. I am sure all the PG members would be enthralled by your extraordinary escapades. Really I think other members would agree with me that sharing ones experiances in a informal sitting goes a long way in develping lasting bonds between friends.

Sikander Bhai, thank you I will post some of my pics and travelogs later, at the moment I am enjoing your post.

Col. Sb, thank you, it is indeed a pitty that you couldn't make it for the trials here in Karachi. There was skeet trials but no trap trial as you know that Bangladesh is not a Trap playing country hence there is no Trap event in SAF games this time. The Navy boys did well in the trial, I decided not to give trials because being very busy in office at the moment and secondly I don't shoot skeet from November to January oweing to hunting season hence not in practice at the moment.

sikander bhai what is the horns measurement of ur best urial

Sikander Panhwar
01-01-2010, 11:57 AM
308,the world record as for as my small knowledge of sindh ibex is 54 1/2 or may b 55 inches shot way back by a foreigner, and another 55 incher was shot unoficially in balochistan by a ghicki guy i know that guy,i think if im not mistaken his name is zafar gicki, i personally have hunted many but my biggest was over 40 inches in surjano near ptv station i think the mountain was surjano, where i saw one ibex over 55 inches stand on the opposite mountain right near the ptv station i tried to shoot in exitment and missed big time but it was way too far then search the whole day but never found it again,i heard malik asad saab shot it but not confirm rumours, now about foregners u see now they have a comunity base hunting where half of the money genrated goes to the locals, and wildlife dep r selling these permits in thousands of dollors and r generating good revenue, about us local everywhere in the world they give permit to their local ppl at resonable price with a fair draw, ,unfortunatly here we have diffrent situation most of the permits goes on for influntial ppl, thats why the poaching is increasing ,and like markhores we r not suppose to hunt but if we want then the price is too high un imaginable, its exactlly like hubara bustard its banned for us but for arab diginiteries is all open,so no coments, urial i shot couple in baluchistan long ago big was 27 inches, regards
