Hello Everyone

Kindly guide me for buying a 12 gauge semi auto shotgun. My first choice was to buy VEPR-12, I even bought accessories for it from USA, but I changed my mind since I am not sure if I should get a 200K weapon on a scandalous Balochistan License, so I have decided to buy a cheaper one for now (Under 100k) till Sindh Licenses reopen.
I thank you all in advance.

P.S. I love tactical shotguns

You can consider a Hatsan Escort....they have many tactical models available .. or even a better choice is to go for Baikal Mp155 or mp153....the baikals are currently going for 95k in Karachi

Deathrow I heard only bad things about MP155, and personally not a fan of wood furniture

Really. ..? What did you hear? They are very tough semiauto shotties.... I am talking about the finishing and build quality, and I think I also read a really detailed review about it here in Pakguns, and the member exchanged it with the older model due to the blunders in manufacturing.

There is a Turk detachable box mag fed shottie. the BR 99 7+ 1, far more reliable than its Akdal M1919 counterpart. And adjustable butt stock. Used to be 75k last I checked a few months back. At Huffaz ( Rafay bhai)

the wisest thing you could have ever done my friend :)

every weapon has been made for a purpose and each platform should support that purpose / function.

an AR-15 or AK-47 is a rifle, so a shotgun on that platform may look cool, but the number of them i have seen failing miserably is not even funny.

Sure, they might "flawlessly" spew out 50 or 100 rounds at the gentle range, but put some pressure on it (like for example, during a tactical / extreme competition, and watch them only fail.

I speak from experience, as I really liked the way they look too but bottom line, go for a reliable weapon always.

box-fed shotguns are a big no-no.

Bottom line; 12 gauge is not made for box-fed platforms.

So we can fantasize or praise any brand or manufacturer for as long as we want, lekin jis ka kaam ussi ko saaje...

I understand you point bro atleast the vepr worked well for me.
Then if we talk about the most reliable ones than i would say a pump action.

I myself have hatsan escort combo with 2 barrels. It is decent value for money and serves HD/SD and hunting purposes. In price range of 65K-75K (dont know exactly what price it is these days since the ban is ON) it is a good buy. Based on your budget and use you may decide.

Hello Eddie,

Are you still interested in a SD/HD Shotgun?

My absolutely ugly local saiga clone works all right BUT only with 8 Excel or SG cartridges. Anything else simply FTE's.

The inability to use other cartridges and the fear of it blowing up in my face prevents me from reaching for it for the heck of it.

Will probably go for a DSA or a Hatsan in the near future.

Its very simple really.. It has a pretty tight recoil spring so works well with high brass such as Excel. AS ragards a DSA, we had a fellow member aquire one from their dealership here in KArachi. IT FTEed repeatedly. Tipu promosed to change it only and only if it malfunctioned right in front of him. Which it did dutifully. And so the peice was changed. The DSA FB page was pretty helpful waisay. They said if the peice were nto changed, they will intervene

But than a Hatsun Escor has a three inch chamber unlike 2.75 of the DSA. We aquired a few magnum slugs for it. Will be taking em to the range to rain hell on a bunch of really unfortunate watermalons
