A look at why they exist, how they work, and how you use them.

electronic sights are good but unfortunately not for defense. The cells would be dead or the in the panic that follows a threat to ones life one will forget to switch it on.

These are for hunting and for military troops engaged in offensive operations where one checks and rechecks before going out.

SD/HD

I read a post in which some one said Quote (that in SD one only needs a .22 as the idea is to hit quickly.) unquote
I think this is a rather simplistic opinion. A hit without being able to put the threat out of action is a very dangerous situation. One could force the threat to react by shooting with something more potent. A .22 pistol with about 80 to 90 foot pounds of energy; when fired from a pistol ,is not the best thing to react, when a loaded gun is in the hands of a trembling , jittery and nervous thug. Either let him have your wallet or mobile, or. Cooperate with him, make him feel relaxed and distract him in many ways according to the situation and you will get your chance, but please do not prick him with a 22 or you will have an angry thug with a bad pain and all the justification in the world to give you a full blast of what ever he is carrying.
I will not want him in court accusing me of trying to rob him by injuring him with a 22 pistol

Irrelevant post. Probably by mistake. In such a case, kindly remove it from here.

Something like this would be good for defense as it is a reflex sight.

This is the J Point pistol mounted reflex sight, on a custom glock 19.

Though I fully agree that magnified scopes/ sights are absolutely not for civilian defence.

Hello All !

They are an adaptation of the HODs (Heads On Display) Which you fing on modern combat aircrafts to assist pilots like on F-16s. Was working once on a Cobra Gunship I noticed them to be very effective and handy. Thet are based on hologram technology. It enables the pilot to concentrate on the battlefiled environment and acquire different targets at the same time.
As electronics are improving and coming cheap, the same are now availible for rifles and handguns.
the prices are in range of 500$ for versions made for rifles..

guns for me bro, he only is trying to tell you that digging old hread just to write "very nice" etc is simply impolite.
If you are reading old posts just do that for the sake of your knowlege but posting three praising words make this thread UN-READ for all the old/senior members and slows the forum software un-necessorily.

So brother SA just told you to not to do that, just listen to him and enjoy the forum instead saying "SO BRO U DONT KNOW EVERY ONE" I am sorry but these words are very offending & impolite :(

brother DENOVO87 he write me this..
@ GunsForMe,

Brother, please take some time to go through our forum without posting everywhere. Our Rifles & Shotguns section has over a dozen threads covering Hatsan Escort.

Also use the Search option as much as you want. It's totally free of charge.

Then, if you are unable to find something, please feel free to post your query. {And that too will free off cost}.
Looking forward to your understanding and cooperation.

Brother by saying "It's totally free of charge" he never underestimated your wealth or challenged your riches but this very light proverb commonly used among friends, so cheer up bro nothing to take that serious but the advise he gave :)

Brother GunsForMe,

My post was not mean't to offend you, but to inform you that digging out old posts by just posting one liners is not appreciated by most members here. As Denovo tried to explain above, the words 'it's free of cost' was used as a proverb and not intended to suggest that either I am rich or that you are poor.

I again welcome you to PakGuns and request you to take note of two things, (i) stop digging up old posts with one-liners; and (ii) use the search option before posting your queries by opening new threads.

Yours politely
