Chinese guns, except CF-98, are short in market. Dealers are charging too much for these Chinese guns.

Sir beg to disagree
Np-34 is 13+1
Cf-98 is 15+1
Finishing of CF-98 is much better than NP-34
Recommended NP-34 cos of its more compact dimensions and tested reliability and Durability.
NZ-85 is huge, heavy and not available. YMMV

Nomi, The above video will give u an idea about CF-98, how it feels in the hand and about its recoil. Its a good weapon, not very heavy, just like the latest western guns of about .0750 gram weight empty, the dis-assembly & assembly is easy, can be used rough and tough, can fire any kind of round, russian, chinese, POF, western. The firing mechanism is just like the Stoegar 8000 model. This weapon has been adopted by the Bangladesh Army, Chinese Army in the 5.8mm version, Hong Kong Police, Chinese Police and their counter terrorism units.
I do hope this weapon would just perform like the Chinese TT did for so many decades.
Price is also very good these days, has come down to 30K here, peshawar i mean, dont know about the other cities.
If u wana go for chinese, then this is the best one.

For carry, I believe either the NP34 and NP42 will do equally good with the right holster. If for range work, I would suggest looking for NP22 or NZ75 (both being quite heavy for regular carry)

What are the major differences between Zastava TT (Serbian), Chinese TT and Pakistani TT?

@Ilyas: Nice looking pistol, sir

Ilyas

@kageFox... Yes Brother, it is a nice pistol. I would love to have one some day but I'm waiting for the M57LUX, which is not presently available in Pakistan. Well in my opinion, Pakistani TTs' can have any specs the buyers want and no standard quality, therefore dicussing those here would be a something difficult :) The few differences that I've been told about the Serbian n Chinese TTs' are

* The Serbian can has a 9 round magazine... 1 more than the Chinese
* Therefore the grip handle is a bit longer
* The serbian is considered to be better built... with better steel and finish

M57LUX

@Ilyas: Okay, I take my previous statement back, now this is something... cool . If this came with a 1911 style safety, I would be the first customer :D

Is it still being manufactured? Any chance of being available in Pakistan in the future?

By the way, you can mimic the grip by putting on a Hogue universal grip sleeve on a regular Tok. Believe me, it changes the whole look of the gun and transforms it from an ugly artifact to a mean-looking piece of tactical hardware. And the change in grip comfort is amazing.

Something like this but covering the whole length of the grip (Btw, this is the smaller version of the Hogue Universal Grip Sleeve)

Ilyas
03-08-2009, 05:55 PM
@KageFox... I don't think it has a safety and it is not available in Pakistan presently. The sleeve looks nice on the TT. I would try to find one for mine and check how it looks, but I'll try to get the one that fully covers the grip.

Wikipedia is many times wrong or outdated. The CF98 with 3000 was an old model initially launched in canda, at that time NP-42 was the good model with more barrel life.

Now NP-42 is not available (very rare to find one, old stock may be available), CF98 has now become the standard one, as NP42 could not be sold in US, Canada & Europe.

The booklet with CF98 says 8000 barrel life.

farhan725

CF-98 Barrel life is 8000 rounds where as NP-34 has 10,000 Rounds of Barrel life according to well known ex-member.
