A question to the shotgun experts.
I'm about to get myself my second shotgun purely for HD purpose. I have narrowed my choice to Moseberg 500, Winchester Defender 1300, and Maverick 88. Which is the best among the three. There is no budget restriction.

i would go for win 1300. since its most rugged and seasoned gun i would say.

Dear Conceal Carry
In my opinion the Winchester 1300 Defender is the best choice.
With best regards.

I would go with mossberg 500, mossberg by design is more combat oriented, loose tolerances for increased reliability, cartridge elevator up in normal position for easy loading under stress/hostile situation, plus to me atleast mossberg chucking sound is sweeeeet.

Regards.

p.s. if not then maverick 88, same thing as mossberg 500 (by design atleast), price is lowered through outsourcing certain parts to countries where cost of production/labor costs are lower.

+1, Could'nt have said it better. I agree if not this due to availability go for the Maverick i think its gr8 value for money. In another thread i think Shariq has said its available for 36k possibly even lower. Damn good. I have a 1300 tripped out but i only keep it because of its 100% reliability, otherwise its slightly heavier and longer than the other two Mossys.

as you have mentioned about budget constraitn than maverick is the best choice, realibale, affordable and i am sure you can not get any american pump in that price range. mossberg is bit expensive, its around 80k i believe; however win, rem etc. are chocolates :)

I own an 870 and a winchester 1200 and I have used the maverick pump on a couple of occasions.
I would say that the maveric offers the best value for money. If budget is not a problem then u should go for the 870. Else maverick should be the obvious choice.
Good luck!

Sialvi: I dont think the 870 is readily available in the market. i havent seen it in lahore at least.
there are multiple versions of the 870. the express version is cheaper with a matt finish. the blued one is more expensive and harder to find. I shall be going to the Lahore market soon. will check the availability and the price :)
