The name should be changed to 'Pak made" or 'Local Club'.
Have 1 Pb,2 .30,2 pump actions and 1 9mm. :)
I think i am leading the club.
Each of the above was made on order.I will never go for a ready made piece.
Some of the above are with me from many years and have been under used in harsh conditions and never refused to obey orders !

I think "Pak Made" is good.
I have a 30 bore of Pak Shanghai which is working very nicely. A 12 bore from STAR Peshawar special made on order in 1969 which is still extra ordenary and remarkable.

Have 1 Pb,2 .30,2 pump actions and 1 9mm. :) I think i am leading the club.
Lets see...I have a 44 semi-Auto, a 222 semi-Auto, a 30 Auto MP5, a 30 semi-Auto MP5, a 7mm bolt-action, 3 shotguns, 1 30 pistol, 1 9mm pistol that are locally made. All these items are made to order from Darra.
As PB discussion is prohibited, I would request honorable members not to forward any questions about such items. Being unable to answer such questions will be a very uncomfortable feeling for me.

well i used to have a desi .30 bore and it out classed even the norinco's and zastava's during our so called "reliability testing contest" in our village. Never jammed or misfired of its total 1000 rounds life...........

visited many guns manufacturer websites, when they give the specification of gun barrel they must write the barrel twist ratio, what are the best barrel twist for handguns and long guns, how they work,
Are Local desi manufacturers can give specification about barrel twist..are they have this technology...?

I hope nothings is left behind :)
Local guns made 'on order' from reliable gunsmith can match any imported one.Even in local manufacturing, the specific 'ustad' or the gunsmith is important.
A good Darra TT is around 6K but if it is having a tag of specific 'ustad' then same item is sold upto 18K.
(Name of the Topic changed as suggested by the members)

I have a .30 TT and 2 DSA Shooters. All working fine and in good quality. The TT never lost its color and originality and has got full finish even after 300 or so rounds.

Options are Clones of Beretta 92 FS,Glock,Np22 etc.Only depends on the manufacturer.
Of all the local guns clones of TT and 92 FS are good as they are being made from years and people now have excelled in them.

Gents I have a local shot gun with "Made as Beretta" written on it. No jokes. Do not know the company. It is a semi auto 12 gauge shot gun 5+1 with retractable butt like that of Beretta. Primarily a HD / SD weapon. Usually placed at the boot of my car or at our DERA near Kallar Kahar :) And yes, it is very much a licensed weapon

welcome ayubi to pak made club.
have you checked any thing special in your TT as was mentioned by previous master ?

Well the only thing special about this piece is the price. Dirt cheap. hehehe.

It's got a half cock notch safety which locks the trigger. Maybe, this is specially put in, maybe it's a common feature in most TTs. Do tell me about this.

Good overall outside and inside condition. Still gave it a 10-hour diesel treatment last night. Good got better.

Sunday night, emptied a clip of russian .30 ammo and the gun worked flawlessly without any jams. I've fired .22LR and 9mm before, but was not prepared for the kaboom of .30. Going to get ear-plugs.

Next I'll be checking it's accuracy at 15, 25 and 50 yards.

So I guess for Rs. 3.5k its a helluva deal. TT + 3 clips + holster + 45 rounds of russian ammo.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Although, I plan to sell it as soon as I get my hands on Taurus PT92B. How much do you think I should sell it all for ;)

================================================== ==================

KageFox
13-10-2009, 02:47 PM
The TT is single action, so trigger should not work at less than full hammer cock. The half-cock was designed as the only safety on the original TT...

Nice deal you got... :)

Congrats Bro. You got a good deal.
My advice would be to fire atleast 50 rounds in a go. None of the 6 TT's i once owned passed this test.Their firing pins were not heat treated.

Hmmm thats an interesting question AL.

I have seen a revolver worth around 4.5k (50$) or so .32 calibre. with a 12 round capacity and walnut stock. (Webley top opening) The shop keeper claimed it came from his own factory. Other then that I have never an 'original' design. Mostly they are all clones.. Techicaly even this weapon was a clone though..

I have a Peshawar arms co. TT and have honestly fired more than 2000+ rounds from it with maybe only one or two fte's. I know it's unbelieveable for most but it's true. I'm a huge fan of it and usually fire it at the range after I'm done with my imports. I guess I abuse it just to watch it fail but in pure pakistani spirit, it just keeps going and going! The only thing which irritates me is it's plastic grip coming off after every 50 rounds or so.

I have been reading these forums for quite some time and majority of the members are of the view that Pakistan made weapons (including the clones) are not good. They would prefer paying quite a hefty premium for a Glock/ Beretta (which are $500 weapons) but wont go for a local made weapon.

Agreed that our local crafted weapons may lack the finesse. it is because that our craftsmen lack the technology to make good weapons. They make the guns with their hands as they don't have any state of the art machinery. Give our craftsmen the technology and they would be able to produce much better products than these foreign manufacturers.

Dear Ozzy,

Both zigana and stoeger had the same price tag. i.e. 22k. I took my zig in 21K from Famous Arms.

Famous arms... Hmm I know the dealer. He gives a very good response.. But he also tends to charge a lot... Once I saw a Taurus SS revolver 6 shot .32 calibre. 2nd hand around 85% condition. Nice gun I liked it. His final price was 34K. I saw the same weapon... at Badar brothers NIB for 32k. Brand new. ever since I use Famous arms only for reference purposes. He has some really nice stuff every now and hten. I find something I like.. get his final price and then look around.

The dealer asked 22,000, and after some bargaining I took it in 21,000 PKR.

I've tested my zigana at country club shooting range today..( courtesy AliNazier ) and the gun response was tremendous. I am so happy to have this gun. No miss fires no FTFs. and its damn accurate too. I've fired around 30 rounds. I'll post the target results tonight. YAHOOO.

Thats all right... I suffer from acute 'spellitis" and make em constantly. typos that is..

As regards your shooting results.. They are more then adequate for most SD scenarios.
However if u are trying to run for an olympic gold then I dont think it will be suitable for the purpose :)
