Hey I just bought a TAURUS 909 9MM PISTOL WITH HARD RUBBER GRIPS and have fired about 100 rounds . No issues what so ever as yet! You might want to consider it too. I'd say price for this in Karachi should be max 55K

Congrates Striker. I don't know why but just because of 24-7, nearly all taurus pistols have a bad reputation ... Other models such as yours are quite decent and robust too.

Lets Hope this has no issues ... Cause currently its my primary SD weapon, INSHALLAH.

Also "ONCE" I have fired at least 500 rounds through it... then one can make some comments about this Taurus 909. Too early to say much about it.

@ChocTalpur
You can never judge a manufacturer by buying and trying only one design. I think that every Taurus 24/7 has come with a flaw but when it comes to PT92/99 and also 915/909, these are excellent weapons and work very well without any issues. Basicall what Taurus designed by itslef does not work that great but what it copied works really good.

@Striker1, mashallah your 909 pistol is very nice as that day i just fired one shot but still i got a very clear idea that the pisol has a very nice trigger pull and very nice sights which combines to become a quite accurate pistol this can be used for target shooting as well a part from SD purpose
Congratulations on ur new purchase.............

@Abu al Hawl: My father has a 917. I have fired a few shots, and I can say, I really like it compared to the PT609 I shot earlier. The only downside to the exchange will be that you will lose the compactness of the 915. Otherwise, its a fine pistol.

Btw, this pistol does pack some weight, so if you carry, be sure to get a good holster, or stick to compact guns. I recommend this pistol for general shooting, but have my doubts about it being used for conceal carry.

Hope that helps.

kagefox, for CC SD I have recently added g26 to my collection, 917 is for general use at the range.

Then is will be perfect (though it doesnt have adjustable sights). Controllable recoil, accurate in rapid fire, overall a good, robust piece.

Above the box, where we write our messages before posting them, there's an option that says "Add image to post", click that n a new small window will appear. There you'll see another option of "Browse". Through browsing select the image and the path would appear in the box next to the "Browse" option. After that click the "Upload it!" option in the middle of the small window. A link would appear in the box where we write our message. Then "submit" it as usual.

Hey Taurus.. U'r right.. Did have a tough time finding a pistol that fit well in my hand. Actually it was the friend in Lahore that I'd like to pass the credit to.

The fit is just perfect. Infact on a comparision with the Stoger Cougar ( that I nearly bought) there is a vast difference., keeping in mind that I do have a rather larger palm than most people.

Besides the loaded indicator and the 17+1 capacity, another feature is the "In Built" lock/ key feature that it has. This SAFETY" feature Goes well for me.

This is getting interesting. As I have only this firearm and not extensively used the Stoeger Cougar, can't really comment on the comparitive performance. I said that the fit of the PT 909 fits well in "MY PALM" as compared to a Stoeger.

Also maybe Abbas, Imu and Taurus can comment better on the comparision of the two... as they have tried and tested both these pistols. So here it goes

Stoeger Cougar vs Taurus PT 909...... Or Should be have a separate thread?
