About two weeks back I saw two new pistols at PARA. They were 9mm semi auto but looked very much like a Micro Uzi. Two versions were available. One without kit and one with, prices were 80k and 100 K respectively. Made in the Philipines.

Should be an interesting buy at 50 K.

Anyone heard / used one of these ?

The picture below is an original Uzi, this is just to show what I'm talking about looks like.

The version that is available in the market is a semi auto and will go on a NPB. Kit includes retractable butt stock, compensator and better sights.

I went to PARA today and had some time to kill while they were getting a scope fitted on my rifle. Took some pictures of the X9 for you guys. Not saying it's good or bad as I haven't tested it, but it sure is interesting.

The Basic Version.

It is very similar to the American Cobray M-11 as well. Please look in the pictures. Also i think this pistol will fire from the bolt open position(Unverified/Unconfirmed) so its accuracy will be in question. Any ways it looks really cool with all the rails and stuff.

The top one is an original Israeli Uzi 9mm semi auto pistol. Honestly it looks ugly and as it is semi auto I really can't think of any use with such sahpe, which is more suitable to full auto lead sprayers.

The second one is US made Cobray M11/M12 series. These pistols were discontinued long time back, the company which manufactured these closed down many years ago. There is however some stock still available in NIB condition which was manufactured about 15 years back.

No spare parts are available even in the USA. The guns are not accurate and very hard to control in full auto mode and are generally refered to as spray and pray, as the shooter is never sure of hitting his targets, ammo is too expensive to waste like that.

My advice, don't fall for the cool looks, keep away from these guns.

I have shot the semi auto version of that thing.
You see the rubber around the trigger? That's because of the heavy trigger slap (trigger bounces forward against your finger after firing a round). With the stock and the longer barrel, it is accurate enough, but the trigger slap makes it a junk gun in my opinion.

The Micro Uzi (made by IMI in Israel) is a nice gun and built like a tank.

But the semi auto version is like a big 9mm pistol....you are better off with a conventional 9mm handgun...seriously.
It looks cool...but that's about it.

There was a version that was imported to the USA that had a longer barrel and a stock (in my country, generally, if it has a stock, it must have a barrel at least 16 inches in length). It is an accurate little carbine in that configuration, but it looks funny with the long barrel.

Sure. They are available a dime a dozen in Karachi. Almost every local arms dealer has them. From mini Ak to M16 to MP5 But for some reason they are almost all of them in .30 bore only.

The 9mm are not available since they are not popular.

the pistols ED bro talking about (aka Sikander's guns) are actually SMGs. and you know SMGs are better or upgraded version of pistol so one can have it on pistol license. But i will suggest to avoid the barrel length more than the 5 inches, IMHO pistol having more barrel length than 5 inch will create problem, as LEAs will not take it as pistol but as rifle, though it does not consume the rifle round. But you know its much difficult to convince LEAs that its only a pistol not a rifle.
I have seen these in 9mm, they are just like MP5s. gunsmith told me only MP5 type pistol are good in this breed, others are dangerous to fire and prone to FTF,FTE and even blow up... (these are his thoughts, i think these pistols are totally useless)
